With warmer weather coming, leather lovers realize that leather is great in any weather. We are reminded of the fabulous black leather frock worn by Maria Sharapova to the 15th annual ESPY sporting awards. This gorgeous, well-built tennis player stood at 6'4” wearing a stellar leather dress with stiletto heels. Maria was truly a stunning sight and leather never looked better under the sun.
Although a leather dress is often associated with rock stars or Harley enthusiasts, this Russian millionairess showed that black leather can be classy and feminine. Maria enjoys fabulous muscle tone from her tennis training and days at Wimbledon and the French Open, making the leather dress a perfect fit. One of the onlookers on the red carpet commented about how demure and svelte Maria looked in the outfit, summing up, “She looked incredible!”
Mainstream fashionistas may question whether leather is appropriate on the red carpet or during the summer and Maria proved it definitely works well. Other fabulous leather items for the summer include leather handbags, fingerless leather gloves for bicycling or driving, a leather camisole and a leather mini skirt. Leather lovers can revel in its supple, fashionable feel during any season and for any reason to make a major impact just like Maria.
